What are some great “When I was your age” statements?

When I was your age, there was so much conformity that hippies were truly freaky. They scared the hell out of a lot of parents.

When I was your age, man walked on the moon for the first time.

When I was your age, political assassinations were common in the US (JFK, Malcom X, MLK and Robert Kennedy).

When I was your age, bike helmets didn’t exist.

When I was your age, a computer was an exotic machine hidden away in a lab somewhere or flashing lights in a movie. They used reel-to-reel tapes for storage.

When I was your age, the cool bike to have was called a spyder bike. It had sissy bars and a banana seat.

When I was your age, I had to fight tooth and nail with my dad just to grow my hair a little longer at each haircut from sixth-grade until finally having long hair in high school.
